These paintings took a hold in my heart and I loved them, thus the name. When I was working on the image, exploring materials with a limited monochromatic palette, the image emerged, resembling a figure. I fell in love with it. I felt a tenderness about it that mattered to me. It spoke of an innocence, that touched my heart. I brought to bring the image, with slight variations forward into other paintings and in each, it took on a life of its own. Maybe you will be touched by this image too!
